Se inclinó a favor de la derecha del partido del Congreso, y tuvo conflictos con su discípulo Nehru, que representaba a la izquierda.

 Gandhi y su esposa Kasturbá fueron privados de su libertad y puestos bajo arresto domiciliario en el Palacio del Aga Khan donde ella murió en 1944, en tanto que él realizaba veintiún días de ayuno.

Sus templados modales externos no se corresponden a lo que dentro de él bullía pues sin ánimo de querer perder la  calma.

Se consideraba muy poquita cosa, aunque a nosotros nos parezca un gigante.

Estaba totalmente convencido de que los motivos que lo empujaron a cambiar la situación histórica de la India eran los acertados.

(Dos arcadas diferenciadas; una en la barra de la “d-h” y otra pequeñita en la formación de la “i”).

  Quizás repartió la piel de oso antes de tiempo.

Había meditado tanto acerca del asunto que no le encontraba otra solución para los problemas del mundo.

(“i” elevada).

Necesitaba imperiosamente poner a prueba todas sus teorías.

 En la presión del trazo comprendemos que era harto difícil hacerle cambiar de opinión aún usando una buena argumentación.

Estaba seguro de los beneficios que la paz mental opera en las emociones de las personas.

Secretamente anhelaba triunfar entre los suyos para continuar trabajando fuera de su tierra natal.
